The Fishing Creek Wildlife Management Area is located in Tignall. This 2,900-acre property offers hunting opportunities for deer, turkey, small game, and waterfowl.

The Dawson Forest Wildlife Management Area is located in Dawson County. This 25,500-acre property offers hunting for deer, bear, turkey, small game, dove, and waterfowl. There are five sections (tracts) of the WMA, including Wildcat Creek, Goethe, Burnt Mountain, Amicalola, and City of Atlanta. The DNR Wildlife Resources Division owns 15,000 acres of the forest, with the City of Atlanta owning the lower 10,000 acres.

Coosawattee Wildlife Management Area is an annually leased property located in Murray County. This 2,043-acre property offers hunting for deer, bear, turkey and small game. No ATVs are allowed on the property. WMA user information and sign-in is located at the Carter's Lake WMA Check Station.

Clayhole Swamp Wildlife Management Area is located in Glynn County. This 8,555-acre property has hunting opportunities for deer, turkey, waterfowl, and small game. The area west of firebreak along the west side of Cowpen Swamp is archery only for all species.

The Hillard Plantation Tract is a 8,089-acre property part of Chattahoochee Fall Line WMA complex. Hilliard Plantation Tract offers hunting opportunities for deer, turkey and small game (fox squirrel hunting is prohibited under small game). No ATVs or horses, and bicycles are not allowed except for the purpose of hunter access. Check kiosks daily for the prescribed burning schedule and locations.

Cedar Creek Wildlife Management Area is owned by the United States Forest Service (USFS) and is located on the Oconee National Forest in Putnam, Jones, and Jasper counties. It was established in 1949 and is one of the oldest wildlife management areas in the state. This 40,000-acre property has hunting opportunities for deer, turkey, small game, and dove.

The Buck Shoals Wildlife Management Area is located in White County. This 582-acre property exclusively offers youth hunting and fishing events, including the very popular Hunt & Learn programs for deer, turkey and small game. Buck Shoals has youth quota hunts for deer, bear, small game and dove.

Berry College Wildlife Management Area is located in Floyd County. This 15,609-acre property offers hunting for deer, bear, turkey, small game and dove. Hunters may not use the main campus for gaining access. Firearms and archery equipment are prohibited on Berry College Refuge. No ATVs are allowed on the WMA. Trails are closed all during firearm deer season and before 10:00 a.m. during deer archery and turkey season. No night hunting.

Bartram Forest is located in Baldwin County. This area is divided into a Wildlife Management Area (western section) and a Recreation Area (northeastern section). Hunters are welcomed to hunt the whole area but beware that within the Recreation Area bikers, hikers, etc. may use the area at any time. This 1,343-acre property provides archery hunting opportunities for deer, turkey and small game. Gates may be opened or closed at the discretion of the Georgia Forestry Commission. No camping allowed on the WMA.

B.F. Grant Wildlife Management Area is located near Eatonton with the majority of the property lying in Putnam County, and a small portion in Morgan County. This 11,40-acre property is owned by the University of Georgia, and has hunting opportunities for deer, turkey, small game, dove, and waterfowl.
