There are nearly 15 miles of hiking trails at Chattahoochee Bend State Park.
Flat Rock Trail
Trek through a granite outcrop like others found in Georgia’s Piedmont Region. After passing through a pine-oak forest, the trail leads to the exposed granite rock. Along the way, you will see some of the plants found in this unique ecosystem; many that allow them to survive on the bare rock face.

Bobcat Trail
This trail follows along a pine-oak forest on the outskirts of a granite outcrop. This trail connects with the Flat Rock Trail and was built to add multiple loop options and hiking lengths in this area of the park.

Wild Turkey Trail
The Wild Turkey Trail begins to the left of Trail Head 1. The difficulty varies from moderate to strenuous. As you walk along this 4.6-mile trail you will pass by the Park Visitor Center, Trail Head 2, and Campground 1 and 2. This trail ends in the Day Use area. You also have the option to take the Tower Trail (0.7 mile) to the Riverside Trail.

Brown Thrasher Trail
The Brown Thrasher Trail begins to the left of Trail Head 1. Take the green blazes 0.7 miles to the intersection with the Wild Turkey Trail and take a right to make a 1.4-mile loop back to Trail Head 1.

Riverside Trail
Walk along the Chattahoochee River on this 2.6-mile hike. You may encounter a variety of birds, and a mixture of coniferous and deciduous trees along with all kinds of different plants that thrive near waterways. Pass by small streams, cross over bridges, and see the famous 2-story Chattahoochee Bend Tower. This trail transitions from easy to strenuous around the scenic overlook at the 3-mile mark and becomes the Bend Trail.

Bend Trail
The Bend Trail begins where the Riverside Trail ends. Take this winding one-way trail up and down the open forest towards the north end of Chattahoochee Bend State Park. The Bend Trail ends at the Back Country Campsites where there is a pit privy and a beautiful view of the Chattahoochee River.

Tower Trail
The Tower Trail connects the Wild Turkey Trail to the Riverside Trail near the 2-story tower overlook.

Trail Etiquette
- Pack out all trash.
- Always keep dogs on a leash.
- Do not pick flowers, disturb wildlife or take anything off the park.
- Protect the park and help prevent erosion by staying on the trails.
