Barracks rentals at The Fort are $250 per night. A $50 deposit is due at the time of booking and the remaining balance may be paid in advance or upon arrival. If your group qualifies as tax-exempt, paperwork must be presented with the deposit.
Vehicles are permitted at the barracks for a total of thirty (30) minutes to unload supplies upon arrival and to pack up upon departure. They are not allowed on the grounds at all between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Vehicles may be parked in the maintenance area overnight. The code for a temporary combination lock will be provided upon arrival for access to parking along with an after-hours phone number for site staff.
The barracks contain twelve (12) bunkbeds and can accommodate up to twenty-four (24) individuals. Not every bunk has a mattress, so please take comfort into consideration when packing for your trip. If your group exceeds twenty-four, modern tents may be set up outside the barracks but must be taken down prior to 9 a.m.
The site will provide firewood, but fires must be monitored by an adult at all times and are only allowed in the fireplaces. Evidence of any fires outside of the fireplaces will incur penalty fees.
There are no restroom facilities inside the barracks or fort. Restroom and shower facilities are available at the visitor center on the back side of the building. Site staff recommend bringing lanterns and/or flashlights for travel to and from the restrooms after dark. Electricity is limited inside The Fort. Electrical outlets are available outside the Western wall of the blockhouse and behind the barracks.
Cancellations or modifications to reservations must be made a minimum of forty-eight (48) hours in advance. Less than forty-eight hours’ notice will result in forfeiture of the deposit.
