Hartwell Lakeside Park
Swimming, boating, water skiing and fishing on Lake Hartwell are prime reasons to visit Hartwell Lakeside Park in northeast Georgia. Large mouth bass, hybrid bass, striper, black crappie, bream, rainbow trout and wall-eyed pike can be found in the sparkling waters of this 55,590 acre reservoir. The park’s boat ramps and docks offer easy access to all water sports. Visitors can also enjoy hiking/biking trails and a children’s playground.
Rum Creek WMA
Rum Creek Wildlife Management Area is located in Monroe County. The 5,884-acre property has hunting opportunities for deer, turkey, small game, dove, waterfowl, and coyote.
Redlands WMA
Redlands Wildlife Management Area is spread over Greene, Oglethorpe, Oconee and Morgan counties on property owned by the U.S. Forest Service. The 37,500-acre property offers hunting opportunities for deer, turkey, small game and dove. There is no hunting on Dyars Pasture marsh pond.
Phinizy Swamp WMA
Phinizy Swamp Wildlife Management Area is located in Richmond County. This 1,500-acre property offers hunting opportunities for deer, turkey, small game and waterfowl. There are also five ponds that provide walk-in fishing opportunities at Phinizy Swamp. No camping is allowed on the WMA.
Lula Bridge WMA
Lula Bridge Wildlife Management Area is located in Lula, GA. The 513-acre property has opportunities for waterfowl and small game hunting. The boat ramp at Lula Bridge provides access to the Chattahoochee River and Lake Lanier.
Lower Broad River WMA
Lower Broad River Wildlife Management Area is located in Wilkes, Elbert and Lincoln counties. This 1,500-acre property has hunting opportunities for deer, turkey, small game, and dove. No camping is allowed on the WMA.
Fishing Creek WMA
The Fishing Creek Wildlife Management Area is located in Tignall. This 2,900-acre property offers hunting opportunities for deer, turkey, small game, and waterfowl.
